Hi peeps!
Today I have a couple of sweet cards to share created for Darkroom Door and featuring the fabulous NEW Honeycomb Background Stamp.
'Have a Bee-utiful Day' Card
Instructions:
Step 1:
- Cut a piece of kraft cardstock measuring 14.5cm x 21cm.
- Fold in half to form the card base.
Step 2:
- Cut a piece of smooth white cardstock measuring 10cm x 14cm.
- Apply the Honeycomb Background Stamp to this piece using clear (or white) embossing powder.
- Set with a heat gun.
Step 3:
- Using Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey Distress Oxide Inks, press the ink pads onto a heat resistant craft sheet and spritz with water.
- Swipe the embossed cardstock through the ink until you are happy with the coverage.
- Allow to dry and then repeat with the ink remaining on the craft sheet.
- Blot away any excess ink on the embossed part with some paper towel.
Step 4:
- On some extra smooth white cardstock, stamp a glass bottle using Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink.
- Fussy cut the bottle and use a knife to add some slits under the lip of the bottle and the darker line below it so you can slip a flower stem in.
- Stamp a flower using all three Distress Oxide Inks; grey for the stem and the oranges for the flower. - Fussy cut and slip under the slits in the glass bottle. Secure at the back with some tape.
- Add this piece to the front of the card using 3D foam and slipping some messy thread under the flower.
Step 5:
- Stamp three bees from the Buzzing Bees Rubber Stamp Set using the Hickory Smoke ink for the wings and Spiced Marmalade for the body.
- Fussy cut the bees and add to the card front using 3D foam.
Step 6:
- Stamp the quote from the Buzzing Bees Rubber Stamp Set onto the extra smooth white cardstock using Jet Black Archival Ink.
- Fussy cut and add to the card front using 3D foam.
- Stick the card front onto the card base.
Here's another card I created using the same colours and techniques.
