Flutterby Designs DT - # Girl Boss

Hello!!

Today I have a layout to share for FLUTTERBY DESIGNS featuring the awesome We Run The World collection. I have gone for quite a soft look for this layout using the pretty pink and kraft coloured photo cards in the range. I was also inspired by the hexagons on a couple of the photo cards.

'# Girl Boss'

I started with my standard formula of lovely diluted Flutter Colour Paint for a watercolour effect background. Here I mixed some Raspberry Punch with Arctic White and diluted with water. I spritzed the background with water first to get some pools of liquid to assist the paint in spreading across the cardstock.

I used my hexagon nesting dies to die cut a whole lot of hexagons from the Everyday Etc Filler Photo Cards.

I chopped up the # Girl Boss die cut from the Bits & Bobs pack to make it better fit my layout.

I really love that quote which seems to suit the dodgy photo of me. I have cut it into strips and then finished the layout with a flair button, enamel dots and Sticky Quotes.

Here's what I used:

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog to check out my layout today. I hope you are feeling inspired to get creating with your own We Run The World stash.

Don't forget this little bit of awesomeness....

I am so excited for this release. I think it is my favourite collection yet.

Cheers

The Dusty Attic DT - Beach This Way

Hello Dusty Attic fans!!

Today I have a beach inspired layout to share with you created for The Dusty Attic and using lots of stunning beach themed Dusty pieces.

'Beach This Way' Layout

I have used some beautiful 49 and Market patterned paper for this layout. I love the soft greys in this range so opted for a softly coloured layout using a black and white photo.

I created a lovely soft wash of colour on my background using diluted Dusty in Colour paints for a watercolour effect. Once dry, I swiped some Dusty Attic Texture Paste over the Confetti # 2 Stencil and set aside to dry. I used a white paint pen to make the textured bits really pop.

I used the same diluted Dusty In Colour paints to colour my seaweed and bubbles pieces along with some white gesso. I used the bubbles piece with the inner circles intact to hide the busyness of all the bits underneath.

I created this layout with lots of layers starting with the darker chipboard pieces at the back and the lightest on top. Therefore my title, Mini Tab and Geo Tag had to be painted with white gesso only to make them stand out from the background.

I hope you are feeling inspired to create your own beach themed layout using the array of stunning beach inspired Dusty Attic pieces. Please make sure you share your gorgeous creation in the Dusty FANattics Facebook Group HERE.

The Dusty Attic DT - A Captured Moment

Hello Dusty Attic Fans!

Today I am sharing my DT take on the fabulous February Mood Board Challenge at The Dusty Attic.

How wonderfully grungy is this mood board? I totally loved all of the woodgrain elements in the image as well as the denim so I have based my layout around this inspiration.

'A Captured Moment'

I began my layout with a blue woodgrain background as inspired by elements in the mood board. I then used a palette knife to swipe firstly some Alabaster Dusty In Colour paint followed by the Denim paint. Once dry, I applied texture paste through the Chicken Wire Stencil.

Next I layered on some torn woodgrain patterned paper and some vellum before adding lots of dimension with twine, chipboard and my photo.

I kept that awesome String Frame and the foliage in their raw unaltered state as I wanted natural elements to co-ordinate with my photo. To make the title, Small Chevrons and the cute Page Pebble pop I painted them with my favourite white Posca Paint Pen.

I painted the Industrial Stars with the same Denim Dusty in Colour paint that I used on the background.

I do hope you feel inspired play along with the challenge this month using your own awesome Dusty Attic stash. Thanks for visiting the blog today.

Kraft Plus DT - Thank You For The Music

Hello Kraft Plus fans!

This month we have another 'abba'solutely fabulous challenge for you.

How cool is that?!!

I was so happy to see an ABBA inspired challenge this month as I recently introduced my kids to ABBA music and we are currently enjoying sing-a-longs in the car.
I chose a photo of my daughter playing her ukulele which she has been learning to play at school. I am amazed at how well both of my kids have picked it up and they sound awesome which is why I chose Thank you for the Music for my inspiration.

'Thank You' Layout

I used some torn sheet music paper as well as some gold star printed vellum under my photo.

I used some funky music themed stamps from Darkroom Door.

All of that fabulous chipboard is by The Dusty Attic.

I just happened to make a purchase from Typo that had that awesome 'On Tour' tag attached. Perfect!

I hope you find some time to play along with the challenge this month. You can find all of the details on the blog over HERE.

Don't forget you can also enter a card, tag or atc as long as it is kraft based.

Flutterby Designs DT - Dec 25

Hello Flutterby Designs peeps!

Belinda here today to share a layout featuring the fabulous Fair Dinkum Chrissy collection.

I love all of the beach elements in this range as my little family and I quite often head to the beach on Christmas Day.

'Dec 25' Layout

I began by swiping some texture paste over a couple of rows of the awesome 'He Said, She Said' Stencil. I LOVE this stencil and I'm pretty sure I am going to be using it a LOT!

Once he texture paste was dry, I diluted some Tropicana Teal and Arctic White Flutter Colour Paints with water. I also spritzed my background with water and sloshed the teal paint around on it. I gave it a little time to dry and then I lifted the background and applied more paint letting it run down the page to create some lovely drips.

I used the cute 'Bubble O'Fun' Mini Stencil to add some subtle white bubbles to the layout too.

Next I layered on all of my bits and pieces as well as the photo. I cut the 'Dec 25' Wood Veneer bit into pieces, painted it with several coats of white gesso and added to the page.

Here's what I used:
