Kaisercraft DT - Generations Collection

Hello hello!!

Today I have a couple of layouts to share that I created for KAISERCRAFT featuring the new Generations Collection.

Such lovely, soft colours in this vintage inspired range. And there is a soft blue woodgrain paper that is to die for! Needless to say that is the first paper I snaffled up to create my first layout.

‘Remember This Moment’ Layout

I have added some Turquoise Kaisermist to the woodgrain background paper on this layout. I have also added some stamping on top of that before layering on chopped up pieces of the correspondence style paper.

Kaisercraft Materials: PP227 12″ x 12″ Paper Pad | CS239 Clear Stamps | CT839 Collectables | SS295 Sticker Sheet | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | FL305 Wood Flourishes Frames | FL376 Wooden Flourishes Berry Vine | FL480 Wooden Flourishes Remember The Moment | F627 Paper Blooms Coconut | F630 Paper Blooms Iceberg | F644 Mini Paper Blooms Coconut | F647 Mini Paper Blooms Iceberg | CS161 Clear Stamp – Texture – Honeycomb | IP724 Ink Pad Bark | KM105 Kaisermist Turquoise.

‘Love’ Layout

I so love looking back at photos of my kids when they were younger and used to like to give each other a hug! It’s pretty rare these days! I just had to use this cute photo for the ‘Brother’ paper.

Kaisercraft Materials: PP227 12×12″ Paper Pad | CT839 Collectables | CS239 Clear Stamps | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | FL303 Wood Flourishes Vines | DD725 Card Creations Butteflies Card Front | IP721 Ink Pad Gum Leaf | IP724 Ink Pad Bark | IP726 Ink Pad Island | KM102 Kaisermist Antique Gold | FL319 Wood Flourishes Love and Cherish.

Kaisercraft DT - Home For Christmas

Ho ho ho!!

I have another Christmas collection to share with you from KAISERCRAFT.

I am a huge fan of kraft cardstock so I was immediately drawn to the lovely kraft coloured patterned papers in this range as well as the hessian look ones. For my layout, I used the striking and bold ‘Sugar Plum’ patterned paper with some Turquoise Kaisermist added for even more striking colour.

‘Girl Germs’ Layout

The photo I used is one of my outtakes from a Christmas photo shoot with my kids. I asked them (alright I forced them) to get closer to each other for the photo. My daughter put her arm around my son and that was his reaction. Note to self: Never work with children or animals. Actually just children because I can bribe the dogs with food. LOL

I used some tags from the Tag Pack as embellishments on my layout and added cute little wooden pegs to the top. I layered some Collectables on top as well as stickers from the Sticker Sheet.

 Kaisercraft Materials: P1940 Decoration | P1936 Sugar Plum | CT838 Collectables | PP980 Paper Pad | SS294 Sticker Sheet | EM426 Tag Pack | CB109 Alpha Chipboard Alpha #3 | IP719 Ink Pad Black | IP727 Ink Pad Lagoon | IP734 Ink Pad Red | KM105 Kaisermist Turquoise | KC003 Kaisercolour Pale Beige | CD102 Kaisercard Licorice.

Other: mini wooden pegs.

‘Joy’ Card

I created a simple layered look for this card making use of lots of Kaisercraft Foam Dots. I love how quick and easy the Foam Dots are to use. Just pop them out and stick them on. Easy!

Kaisercraft Materials: P1940 Decoration | PP980 Paper Pad | DD510 Decorative Die Nesting Frames | DD701 Decorative Die 6×4″ & 3×4″ Rectangles | CD511 Cards & Envelopes Card Pack C6 White | T302 Foam Dots.

Other: kitchen twine | natural jute.

I had so much fun creating that layered card I decided to make some matching tags using the Tag Pack.

‘Layered Tags’

These were the quickest tags to make by simply layering die cut papers from the Paper Pad as well as Collectables embellishments. I think they will look perfect at Christmas adorning a lovely kraft paper wrapped present.

Kaisercraft Materials: PP980 Paper Pad | CT838 Collectables | EM426 Tag Pack | DD510 Decorative Die Nesting Frames | DD701 Decorative Die 6×4″ & 3×4″ Rectangles | IP721 Ink Pad Gum Leaf | KM102 Kaisermist Antique Gold.

Other: kitchen twine | natural jute.

I hope I have given you lots of ideas for your own Christmas cards and tags.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Cheers

Kaisercraft DT - Silver Bells

Hi!!

Today I have some projects to share with you using the stunning new Silver Bells Collection from KAISERCRAFT.

This is just the prettiest range with lovely soft colours for Christmas and lots of gorgeous baubles and snowflakes. I loved the silver accents and snowflake filled papers in this range and it just happens to be a fussy cutters dream! So many pretty details to fill your pages with.

'Joy' Layout

For my first layout, I stuck to a monochromatic colour scheme using the oh so pretty pinks in the collection. I always feel the need to alter my backgrounds so I swiped some gesso over the gorgeous Geo Tile 12″ x 12″ Template using a palette knife. I just focused on the area where my photo and embellishments would be so that I didn’t obscure all of that pretty paper. My layouts would not feel complete without having some of the amazing Kaisermists sprayed over them and here I have used the pink one. I have also used the awesome clear stamps to add some extra snowflakes to my background with some Berry ink.

Here’s a closer look at the details.

Kaisercraft Materials: P1928 Believe | P1934 Merry Christmas | P1933 Good Wishes | PP979 Paper Pad | CT837 Collectables | CS237 Clear Stamps | SS293 Sticker Sheet | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | T625 12×12″ Template Geo Tile | SB729 Wood Flourishes Swirls | KM110 Kaisermist Pink | IP731 Ink Pad Berry | F627 Paper Blooms Coconut | F639 Paper Blooms Fuschia | F644 Mini Paper Blooms Coconut | F657 Mini Paper Blooms Fairy Floss | ST912 Epoxy Stickers Candy.

Other: gesso | wire thread.

‘Christmas Wishes’ Card

I loved the pink colour scheme so much that I had to create a card in the same monochromatic scheme. I added some detail to the background by stamping lots of pretty little snowflakes and heat embossing with white embossing powder. I added some crackle paint to a wood veneer frame and once dry, added some Pink Kaisermist over the top.

I die-cut some more snowflakes from Coconut Kaisercard using the gorgeous Snowflake Card Flip Decorative Die.

Kaisercraft Materials: PP979 Paper Pad | CS237 Clear Stamps | FL305 Wood Flourishes Frames | DD318 Card Creations Snowflake Card Flip | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | KM110 Kaisermist Pink | IP731 Ink Pad Berry | DD701 Decorative Die 6×4″ & 3×4″ Rectangles.

Other: embossing ink | embossing powder | crackle paint.

‘Waiting’ Layout

I absolutely love the Wreath Specialty Paper in this collection with its gorgeous pops of colour and glitter against the grey so I used that as a starting point for my layout. I used a black and white photo to co-ordinate with the grey in the papers and embellishments. I took the photo of my daughter after we had put up our Christmas tree one year. She immediately placed herself under the tree to impatiently wait for Santa. :-)

Kaisercraft Materials: P1926 Good Tidings | P1928 Believe | P1934 Merry Christmas | PS427 Wreath Specialty Paper | PS428 Baubles Specialty Paper | SS293 Sticker Sheet | CT837 Collectables | PP979 Paper Pad | EM425 Tag Pack | DD705 Decorative Die Swirl Flourish | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | CB108 Alpha Chipboard Alpha #2.

Other: gesso.

‘Season’s Greetings’ Card

This was my first time playing with a Card Creations Card Flip Die and I was pleasantly surprised at how very easy they are to use. I made sure for the snowflake die that I placed some Kaisercraft Die Release Paper between the die and the cardstock for ease of release and it worked a treat. Not only that but then I had some lovely printed paper snowflakes left over for another project. Winning!

Kaisercraft Materials: P1929 Wonderland | P1932 Joy | CT837 Collectables | CS237 Clear Stamps | DD318 Card Creations Snowflake Card Flip | T332 Die Release Paper | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | RS402 Rhinestones Island Lagoon | IP727 Ink Pad Lagoon.

Other: embossing ink | embossing powder.

‘A Merry Little Christmas’ Card

This is a card that I created using just the Paper Pad and the Clear Stamps in the collection. I used the most gorgeous soft grey woodgrain paper from the Paper Pad and stamped and heat embossed lots of pretty snowflakes using both white and silver embossing powders. I created more texture by distressing the edges of the layered papers too.

Kaisercraft Materials: PP979 Paper Pad | CS237 Clear Stamps | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut.

Other: embossing ink | embossing powders.

I told you it was the most gorgeous collection. How lovely are the colours??

Thankyou for stopping by my blog today. Make sure you come back soon to see what I created using the Home For Christmas Collection.

Kaisercraft DT - Christmas Socks

Hi all!!

Today I have a 'White Christmas' layout to share with you featuring the stunning Silver Bells Collection.

I have to say that this would be my favourite project out of all the things I created using the September collections. I have stuck to a monochromatic colour scheme of grey and white for my layout and added some snowflake detail to the background.

Even though the photo of my daughter in her favourite Christmas socks was taken in the heat of summer, printing the photo in black and white gives it a wintery feel.

I have added lots of layers of gorgeous papers, doilies and die cut elements. The beautiful silver accented baubles were fussy cut from the Baubles Foil Specialty Paper.

How gorgeous is that paper?? I see lots of potential there for Christmas cards galore!

Kaisercraft Products: P1933 Good Wishes | P1928 Believe | PP979 Paper Pad | PS 428 Baubles Specialty Paper | CT837 Collectables | CS237 Clear Stamps | SS293 Sticker Sheet | EM405 Paper Doilies | KM101 Kaisermist Charcoal | F627 Paper Blooms Coconut | F644 Mini Paper Blooms Coconut | EM926 Lace Pack White | T624 12×12″ Template Festive Quarters | CB109 Alpha Chipboard Alpha #3 | DD701 Decorative Die 6×4″ & 3×4″ Rectangles | DD517 Decorative Die Tag Shapes.
Other: Distress Stain | molding paste | Posca Pen white | wire thread | ink.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Make sure you head over to the KAISERCRAFT Blog to check out the amazing inspiration by the rest of the Design Team.

Kaisercraft DT - August Collections

Hi all!!

Today I am sharing with you my creations featuring the AWESOME August collections!!

I am absolutely loving all of the gold accents in both the A Touch of Gold and Holy Night Collections as well as the perfect grunginess of the Time Machine Collection.

So let’s start with A TOUCH OF GOLD.

This stunning range is all about celebration, so my first project is a layout celebrating my son’s 7th birthday.

‘Celebrate’ Layout

The ‘Sheen’ patterned paper was the perfect dark background to make those fabulous gold accents really POP. And who doesn’t LOVE a good text patterned paper? So striking as a background.

Here’s a closer look.

In this photo, you can see the ends of the balloon strings hanging down. This gave me the idea to create balloons with some of the die cut elements. I created the strings of my balloons with some wire thread. They looked a little bit lost on the background so I added some wooden flourishes to ‘tie’ it all together (pardon the pun!). ;-) I sprayed the wooden flourishes with Antique Gold Kaisermist and it gives a stunning result with a really lovely shimmer.

Kaisercraft Materials: P1902 Sheen | PP976 Paper Pad | CT834 Collectables | CD102 Kaisercard Licorice | SB729 Wood Flourishes Swirls | CB108 Alpha Chipboard Alpha #2 | KM102 Kaisermist Antique Gold.
Other: chipboard | wire thread.

Next up, I wanted to show how this is also the perfect range for Christmas. I have gone off the page for this project and altered the awesome Christmas Bon Bon.

‘Christmas Bon Bon’

This is one of the easiest wood projects to put together and so fun too!! It makes the perfect Christmas gift especially when you fill it with lovely gold foiled chocolates!! I know I would love one full of chocolate. Just saying!

Here are a couple of views from different angles.

I had some of the gold doily left over from another project so added that over the Pin Stripe Specialty Paper as well as some gold accented paper from the Paper Pad. I also created the poinsettia using the Layered Poinsettia Decorative Die.

Kaisercraft Materials: PS420 Doily Foil Specialty Paper | PS421 Pin Stripe Foil Specialty Paper | PS422 Confetti Foil Specialty Paper | PP976 Paper Pad | CT834 Collectables | SB2311 Kaiserwood Bon Bon | ST920 Clear Sticker Merry Christmas | ST921 Clear Sticker Season’s Greetings | IP719 Ink Pad Black | KM102 Kaisermist Antique Gold | DD720 Decorative Die Layered Poinsettia | SB710 Rhinestones Orange.

HOLY NIGHT COLLECTION

There are so many gorgeous die cuts in this collection that I wanted to create a layout where I could cluster as many of those die cuts as possible!

‘Sparkle’ Layout

The reverse of the Baby Jesus patterned paper has such a lovely star pattern on kraft coloured background that I couldn’t resist using it. I created a really layered look using some coordinating papers from the Paper Pad to form a matt under my photo. I have also used Foam Dots to create lots of dimension. I altered the background paper with Antique Gold Kaisermist too.

Oh and those gold flowers on my layout started off as Honey Paper Blooms. I sprayed them with the Antique Gold Kaisermist to get this stunning result. I can’t get enough of that Kaisermist, I tell ya!

Kaisercraft Materials: P1910 Baby Jesus Paper | P1916 Star Paper | SS291 Sticker Sheet | CT835 Collectables | PP977 Paper Pad | CD651 Kaisercard Kraft Cardstock | F636 Paper Blooms Ruby | F628 Paper Blooms Honey | F653 Mini Paper Blooms Ruby | F644 Mini Paper Blooms Coconut | IP723 Ink Pad Vintage | KM102 Kaisermist Antique Gold | DD700 Decorative Die Alphabet Uppercase | AS258 Alpha Sticker Sheet Red | T302 Foam Dots.
Other: wire thread | sequins.

‘Christmas’ Easel Card

Easel cards are my favourite sort of card to create and it has been a while so I leapt at the chance to create one using this collection. I stuck to a subtle colour scheme of green cream and kraft with touches of gold.
I created the base of the card by distressing, inking and layering patterned papers. I fussy cut the flourishes, angels and stars from the gorgeous Angels Foil Specialty Paper. At this point I laid the top and bottom of the card on my desk with all of the sweet fussy cut bits arranged on top. I like to play around with things for a while until they are exactly where I want them. At this point I walked away. Upon my return, I discovered that my charming cat had been exploring on my desk, overturned a jar full of dirty black paint water ALL OVER MY CARD!! Needless to say, she was none too popular for a while!! After a freak out moment of panic and a couple of days of drying time,  I managed to salvage the card. It is slightly more grungy and a little more watermarked than I would normally strive for but I love it all the same. And that is life with cats. (Note to self: Always empty the paint jar.) LOL

If you look closely you will see a little sneaky peek at an upcoming template. I have used it with some molding paste on the background green paper. While the paste was still wet, I sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set to create lovely dimensional gold dots.

Kaisercraft Materials: PP977 Paper Pad | PS424 Angels Foil Specialty Paper | SS291 Sticker Sheet | P1914 Blessing Paper | CD651 Kaisercard Kraft Cardstock | EM927 Lace Pack Cream | IP733 Ink Pad Green | T623 12 x 12 Template Christmas Quarters.
Other: Molding Paste | embossing powder.

TIME MACHINE COLLECTION

I have to say that this is my favourite collection this release. I love the colours and I love the grunginess. So perfect for boy layouts but then also can be adapted for girl layouts too.
For my first layout I used a photo of my daughter when she was 5 years old sitting in the hay shed having a sweet conversation with her daddy.

‘Remember This’ Layout

I really loved the gorgeous blue papers in this collection and I love to layer them together to create a border around my layout. I used a black cardstock base to co-ordinate with all of the black accents and stamping.

I created even more layers by stamping over my background, adding Charcoal Kaisermist and then clustering elements around the photo.

Kaisercraft Materials: P1924 Gadget | P1922 Coggler | CT836 Collectables | CS236 Clear Stamps | SS292 Sticker Sheet | CD102 Kaisercard Licorice | ST928 Clear Stickers Life | CS153 Clear Stamp Texture Hessian | CS214 Acrylic Stamping Block | IP719 Ink Pad Black | KM101 Kaisermist Charcoal | F661 Mini Paper Blooms Black | F645 Mini Paper Blooms Honey.

For my last project, I created a layout focusing on the gorgeous brown in this collection.

‘Adore’ Layout

I have created more layers and clustering just like the previous layout but this time using mostly the brown tones. The colours worked perfectly with the photo of my son just chilling at this bus stop made of logs in our little town.

Kaisercraft Materials: P1918 Steam Engine | PP978 Paper Pad | CT836 Collectables | CS236 Clear Stamps | SS292 Sticker Sheet | CD102 Kaisercard Licorice | WL702 Wooden Flourishes Wood Letter Words Cherish | CS153 Clear Stamp Texture Hessian | SB729 Wood Flourishes Swirls | IP719 Ink Pad Black | IP724 Ink Pad Bark | KM102 Kaisermist Antique Gold.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope my projects have inspired you to get grungy and create some layers on your own projects.

Make sure you stop by tomorrow to check out my layout for the September Challenge at Kraft Plus Challenges.

Cheers
