The Dusty Attic DT - March Mood Board

Hello hello!

Today I have a layout to share for The Dusty Attic based on the fabulous March Mood Board.

Here's a peek at the mood board:

Gorgeous right?

Here's what I created:

Trendy New Shoes

Now I wasn't sure if I had any patterned papers to match this colour scheme so I used the opportunity to pull out my gel press and acrylic paints and make my own patterned papers. So fun!! I tore a piece and added it behind my photo.

On my store bought patterned paper background I used the stunning Mandala Stencil with Sunburnt Orange Dusty In Colour paint to add some pretty stencilled detail.

I painted my chipboard pieces with Dusty In Colour Cranberry and a mix of Sunburnt Orange and Dusty Pink. I diluted these paints and flicked some colour over my background paper too.

I coloured the pretty Twine Bow, Mini Heart Button and 'new' with a black paint pen.

Once all of the painted pieces were dry, I layered them all together with my photo and patterned papers to create a really dimensional layout. I love the bulkiness of adding these layers.

The Dusty Attic DT - Wild & Free

Hello!

Today I have a layout to share for The Dusty Attic based on the Week 11 Sketch.

Wild & Free

I am very lucky to be able to live on a large property where a koala wandering through can sometimes be almost a daily occurrence so I just had to document this part of my life that I love so much. It is such a delight to see these beautiful creatures and hear them too! They are so sweet and fluffy looking but make the most horrible noise. LOL

I started this layout using some really pretty papers so I didn't want to do too much to them. Sometimes it is nice to have a 'clean' layout. I then organized my photos according to the fabulous Week 11 Sketch.

I kept my chipboard simple too and coloured with my favourite white paint pen to add to the lovely crisp look of my layout. That fabulous title could not have been more perfect! I LOVE that Dusty Attic have so many wonderful titles to cater for pretty much any theme.

Darkroom Door DT - 4 Seasons Cards

Hello!

A pinch and a punch for the first day of the month! March already today and the first day of autumn. I love autumn and winter however  this first day of autumn brings us a temperature of 40℃ and an extreme fire danger rating so we need to be packed and ready to flee should a bushfire break out. This temperature also means that the 2nd most venomous snake in the world (the deadly eastern brown snake) sometimes seek refuge in our enclosed verandah. We have already had one visit this week so I am hoping there won't be another.

Anyway I have a set of 4 cards to share for Darkroom Door featuring the stunning NEW Leaves Border Stamp. I have used the stamp with a watercolour effect and colours to represent each of the four seasons.
