Flutterby Designs DT - {create}

Hello!!

Today I have a layout to share for Flutterby Designs using the 'Creative Chaos' kit

{create}

I started with a base of kraft cardstock which is my favourite!

I mixed up my own pretty pink colour using Raspberry Punch and Arctic White Flutter Colour paints. I used a foam brush to swipe that colour across my background concentrating on where I was going to layer on the photo and filler cards as well as my photo.

Next I added some stencilling using the 'Bubble O' Fun' Mini Stencil. I used a make up wedge to add the gesso lightly over the stencil. I also used a wet paintbrush to flick some of the pink paint over the background. The white splatters were added using a white Posca paint pen.

I layered on a combination of soft pink and kraft coloured filler photo cards to co-ordinate with the soft colours of my photo.

Finally I added my title and embellishments.

Here's what I used:

- Everyday Etc Photo Cards
- Everyday Etc Filler Photo Cards
- Sticky Quick Quotes

Wood veneer:

- Arctic White
- Raspberry Punch

Snap 2 Fussy Cuts

Short, sharp and shiny from me today! I do hope you feel inspired to create something yourself with your Flutterby stash. Make sure you share your lovely creations in the Facebook Inspiration HQ group.

The Scrapbook Store DT - Carta Bella Rock-A-Bye baby Girl 2

Hello!!

I am back today to share another layout for THE SCRAPBOOK STORE featuring Carta Bella Rock-A-Bye Baby Girl.

'Sweet baby Girl' Layout

I started my layout by swiping some gesso over the background patterned paper to create a base to add my photo and layers to. I misted a white doily to co-ordinate it with my monochromatic layout.

I layered on my photo and die cuts and created a sweet cluster of flowers and a sweet bow made with seam binding.

I finished by adding my title and a scattering of enamel dots and wood veneer hearts.

Here's what I used:

The Scrapbook Store DT - Carta Bella Rock-A-Bye Baby Girl 1

Happy Sunday!!

This month at THE SCRAPBOOK STORE I am playing with the oh so adorable Carta Bella Rock-A-Bye Baby Girl collection.

It is such a darling range with the cutest die cuts and some lovely vintage style nursery rhyme images too.

'It's A Girl' Layout

Even though I am using the girl range, I was immediately drawn to the blues and greens in the papers. This could easily have been a baby boy layout. I used the most gorgeous Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Mist called Mad Hatter Mint. I love that name!

That cute little elephant originally had a bright pink ear which didn't really co-ordinate at all with my layout so I simply cut away the pink section and used it as a template to cute a new ear from blue paper. I glued the blue ear onto white cardstock, cut out and stuck on the elephant. Ta da!! A new perfectly co-ordinated ear.

I sprayed the Green Tara flowers with the Mad Hatter Mint spray to make them match too.

Here's what I used:

GREEN TARA 1.5cm Mini Roses Aqua
- It's A Girl
- Page Pebbles # 11
UNI Posca Pen white
embroidery thread
smooth white cardstock

Thanks for stopping by.

Flutterby Designs DT - Me

Hey scrappy peeps!

Here's another layout share for Flutterby Designs featuring the 'Creative Chaos' kit.

SPOILER ALERT!! This layout contains 'sentence enhancers'. If you don't like swear words then don't look. Too easy.

'Me' Layout

This layout is a bit darker than the last one I created with this range!!

Told you it was dark! LOL I just LOVE that new 'You've Got This' Stencil. I swiped some texture paste over it and then when it was dry sprayed on a whole lot of water and mist to co-ordinate with my photo and the filler cards I had already chosen to use.

I outlined some of the stencilled words using a fine black Posca Pen to make them stand out a bit more and then layered on a whole lot of stuff!

Here's what I used:

- Everyday Etc Photo Cards
- Everyday Etc Filler Photo Cards
- 'Purple Polaroid' Photo Cut Out
- Page Tabs

Make sure you head over to the Flutterby Designs store to check out all of the cool stuff!!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Flutterby Designs DT - Beautiful

Hello!!

Today I am sharing a layout for Flutterby Designs featuring the super fun and versatile 'Creative Chaos' kit.

'Beautiful' Layout

Such pretty, soft pastel colours! I began by adding some texture to my background with texture paste and the I {Heart} You Mini Stencil. I then mixed up my colour with Flutter Colour paints to match the hoodie my daughter is wearing in the photo. I diluted the paint HEAPS to create a watercolour effect on my background and flicked some of the colour over the surface too. I also coloured a white doily with the same colour and added on top.

Next I shuffled around some photo cards and filler photo cards until I had a nice mix and layered them together. A quick staple holds them all in place for me until I am ready to stick down on my layout. Then I added my photo, a frame from the 'Honey' Fussy Cuts, my title and a scattering of cute embellishments.

Here's what I used:

- Everyday Etc Photo Cards
- Everyday Etc Filler Photo Cards
- Page Tabs

- Arctic White
- Orange Goldfish
- Raspberry Punch

Keep an eye out for my next blog post featuring another layout created using this same range but in a VERY different style.

Kraft Plus DT - Denim Revolution

Hello!!

Today I am sharing my layout for the Kraft Plus Challenges March challenge.

Denim Revolution!

You can find all of the challenge details over HERE.

I was inspired by the top right image with the paint splatters all over the jeans for my layout.

'Way Cool' Layout

I cut a pocket and a belt loop from an old pair of jeans and I also ripped a thin piece to use as the tie on the little canvas tag.

Luckily I used a pair of jeans that I wore while painting the kids' bedrooms so they already had some paint on them! I splattered over a bit more using Flutterby Designs Flutter Colour paint.

I added to the whole denim theme with an awesome Pale Denim, Cream and Baby Blue Super Star embellishment from Charm's Creations.

That little 'denim blues story' circle is a tag from an item of kids' clothing that I had been saving for a long time!! So happy the perfect opportunity came along to use it. :-)

All of the chipboard on here is by Imaginarium Designs and I have painted it with three coats of white gesso to make it lovely and crisp and white in contrast with all of the blue and the kraft.

I hope you like my take on the challenge and you find some inspiration to play along this month.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.
