The Scrapbook Store DT - Happy Accident 2

Hello!

Today I have another layout to share for THE SCRAPBOOK STORE featuring the gorgeous Blue Fern Studio Happy Accident collection.

'What A Wonderful Day'

I flooded my background paper with water and the most beautiful blue watercolour paint from the Jane Davenport Bright Palette Watercolour Paints. I can't recommend these paints highly enough. I LOVE them. And they come in such a cute little tin too.

I used the same watercolour paints to colour my chipboard title as well as my flowers.

Some of the chipboard I left raw because I love it that way.

Here's what I used:

Jot Mood Board - This Girl

Hello!

Today I am sharing my entry for the stunning Sept Mood Board at Jot Magazine.

'This Girl'

This was a stash busting exercise for me using up bits and pieces of patterned papers from a whole bunch of different brands. I used some gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboard in its raw state and a couple of 'to die for' feather dies from Kaisercraft.

Here's a close-up. :-)

And here's a peek at the mood board.

Gorgeous right?

I hope you get a chance to play along too.

Thanks for stopping by.

Flutterby Designs DT - Beautiful Fierce

Hello Flutterby lovelies!!

Today I have a layout to share created for Flutterby Designs and featuring the fabulous Flawsome collection.

'Beautiful Fierce"

So many pretty colours in this range! But for this layout I used the yellow as the focus colour. I recently changed to an A4 size layout and I am really loving working in this format. I like to place the Flutterby stencil in the centre of the page and swipe some texture paste over it with a palette knife. Once dry, I wash over it some diluted Flutter Colour paint. Here I have used the Sunshine Yellow paint.

I had some strips of filler photo cards left over from other projects so I layered these across the layout.

I love that the yello words I used for my title really complemented the background.

I added some messy embroidery thread to the layout before adding my photo and other embellishments.

I hope I have inspired you to have a play with your own stash of the Flawsome collection. Make sure you share your work in the Facebook Inspiration Group so we can leave you some love.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.

The Scrapbook Store DT - Happy Accident 1

Hello!

This month at The Scrapbook Store I am playing with the gorgeous Blue Fern Studio Happy Accident collection. The papers are so beautiful and make the most perfect background for layouts.

'Play' Layout

For this layout I added some gorgeous pink to the background using my brand spanking new Watercolour Brights Palette from Jane Davenport. This was my first time playing with her watercolours and I must say I am impressed! I LOVE them.

You can find them HERE in the store.

I layered on some messy pink embroidery thread and stapled in place. Then I used the same watercolour paints to colour the Dusty Attic Music Flourish chipboard. I added a little Distress Ink on top to add a bit more depth of colour.

I had this photo of my daughter playing her ukulele that I wanted to use with the chipboard flourish but I wanted it to look like the music was coming from her uke so I silhouetted the photo. First time I have tried a silhouette photo too and I love how it turned out.

I added a funky Dusty Attic chipboard title as well as some flowers and chipboard elements from the Happy Accident range too.

Here's what I used:

Flutterby Designs DT - Flawsome Planner Phanatic

Hello Flutterby Peeps!

Today I have 'a week in the life of' to share in my planner for Flutterby Designs. I managed to get my hands on the fabulous Flutterby Planner Phanatic Limited Edition Kit to decorate my planner and combined it with a little Flawsome too.

First of all I had to wait for a week when I was actually doing something fun!!

Here's a peek at the kit.

I chopped up some of the Flawsome Filler Photo Cards to decorate the headers, footers and in between the days.

I went crazy with all sorts of stickers and page tabs.

I added some stamping using planner stamps that I already had in my stash.

I had a bit of diluted Flutter Colour Paint left over from another project so I flicked that over the pages to tie it all together. The paper in my planner is not the best quality so it's best not to add too much water to it. Just a few flicks here and there didn't hurt it too much.

The wood veneer bits and pieces were just placed there for photo purposes only. I like to keep things pretty flat in my planner so it doesn't cause problems writing on the other side of the page.

I chopped up one of the cards from the Blank Palette Everyday Etc Photo Cards to add strips of arrows. Sometimes it's nice to break up all of the colour with a little black and white.

And there is my planner spread! The good news is I have heaps of that kit left to do several more planner spreads. I just need to wait for something else a little more interesting than my regular old boring life. LOL

Thanks for stopping by the blog! If you have the Planner Phanatic kit I would love to see what you did with it in your own planner. Make sure you share in the Flutterby Inspiration HQ Facebook group.

Cheers

Imaginarium Designs DT - All About The Man

Hello!

Today I have three 'manly' projects to share created with fabulous Imaginarium Designs chipboard.

'Magical Moment' Layout

I couldn't resist using this photo of my darling husband putting on his 'old man face'. No matter how much trouble it gets me into. LOL That face just cracks me up.

I coloured my title white using a UNI Posca Pen. I gave it a good couple of coats.

I covered the Freaky Peeps Crosses with co-ordinating patterned paper, sanded the edges and then inked with Black Soot Distress Ink

'A True Love Story' Layout

To make up for the use of THAT photo in the last layout, I decided to put things right and use a 'nice' photo. And we are friends again! LOL

I pulled out my trusty white Posca Pen again to colour my title and love hearts.

I covered the Loolabelle's Callouts with co-ordinating patterned paper.

And finally I thought I had better make a quick father's day card before I jet off to a scrapbooking retreat in Perth for the weekend.

'XOXO' Card

For this card, I made the negative board from the Twigs chipboard the centrepiece. I sprinkled it with Brusho Olive Green Colour and then spritzed all over with Lindy's Stamp Gang Mad Hatter Mint Starburst Spray.

I added a whole bunch of messy embroidery thread strands to symbolise the foliage on the trees under the chipboard.

I then decorated with stars in their raw form.

Well that is all from me this month. I hope you have been inspired by my masculine projects.
