The Dusty Attic DT - Home

Hello Dusty Attic peeps!

Today I am sharing a layout  for The Dusty Attic based on the stunning September mood board. I love the beautiful earthy colours so much that it inspired me to create a layout about the patch of earth that is my home.

'Home'

Here's a peek at the mood board:

I started with a gorgeous woodgrain patterned paper background. Next I added some texture paste over the Chicken Wire Stencil to compliment the photo of our family farm. Once dry, I used a white paint pen to highlight the texture.

I layered some matching patterned papers together and added those to the layout.

Next up I used Pesto and Forest Dusty In Colour paints to alter the Flower Buds # 2, Mini Dots, Mini Heart Button as well as the BRAND NEW Tree Designer Disc # 17.

Here's a closer look at the detail on the Flower Buds chipboard.

I used the Mini Him & Her chipboard to represent the members of my little family and painted them white with a paint pen. I used the same paint pen to colour the title too. To finish I added the 'farm life' title from the Wordpl@y # 12 in black.

Flutterby Designs DT - Vibes

Hello Flutterby peeps!

Belinda here today to share a layout featuring the Good Vibes Only collection.

'Vibes'

I have used one of the fabulous 12 x 12 papers in this collection for the base of this layout. I am just loving that gorgeous pink! The good news is these papers are still available in the shop HERE. Be quick and grab them while they last!!

I swiped a little gesso over the background with a palette knife to form the central area where my photo and all of the bits and pieces would sit.

I chopped up some of the Everyday Etc Filler Cards in the range and added those before adding my photo with a little 3D foam. Keeping the foam just in the middle of the photo back allows me to then slip lots of cute die-cuts, page tabs and other elements around the sides.

I love the die-cut leaves and flamingo in this range as well as the cute stickers. I like to add the stickers to white cardstock first to strengthen them so that I can use them as embellishments.

I finished with some Tickets, fussy cut arrows from a filler card, an 'awesome' flair button and a fabulous acrylic word.

Here's what I used:

The Dusty Attic DT - Perfect / Wonder

Hello Dusty FANattics!

Today I have two layouts to share for The Dusty Attic for September featuring totally fabulous Dusty Attic products.

'Perfect'

I have used papers and die cut elements from the stunning 49 & Market Island Paradise collection for this layout. I loved the soft colours to use for a sweet baby layout featuring a photo of my darling boy on the day he was born.

The gorgeous driftwood paper didn't need much done to it so I simply placed the Knitting Stencil over the paper and dabbed on some Oceania and Storm Cloud Dusty In Colour paint using a latex make-up wedge for a smooth finish.

I added some stamping using a baby themed stamp set from Darkroom Door and Distress Oxide inks. I love the soft chalky look these inks give when you stamp with them.

I kept most of the chipboard pieces in their raw form to compliment the natural look papers as well as the photo of my then brand new little baby.

I created a cluster at the bottom of my photo with Dusty In Bloom Cornsilk flowers, die cut elements and chipboard pieces. For a lovely crisp finish. I painted my title and the mini stars using a white paint pen.

Next up is a layout I created for the Kraft Plus Challlenges September challenge.

'Wonder'

The challenge for this layout was to use office supplies on the page. The Dusty Attic Clips & Pins and Ruler # 2 chipboard pieces were absolutely perfect to co-ordinate with the actual office supplies I used on my layout.

I kept a fairly neutral colour scheme with a splash of mint so out came my trusty white paint pen to make my chipboard pieces white. I love the crisp white against the kraft background.

Well that is all from me today. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my projects. I hope you will pop back soon to check out what I did with this month's mood board inspiration.

Flutterby Designs DT - Together

Hello Flutterby peeps!!

Welcome to my first post for September!

Today I have another layout to share with you for Flutterby Designs featuring the fabulous Happily Ever After collection.

'Together'

I have used the super pretty Sporadic Romantic 12 x 12 patterned paper for my background and enhanced it with some lovely Flutter Colour Paint in Green Limousine and Tropicana Teal.

I spritzed quite a bit of water onto my layout and then dropped diluted paint onto the surface to allow it to spread.

Once dry, I used the awesome BRAND NEW Cool as a Cucumber Stencil with some texture paste to add some more interest to the background. I chose some random words to highlight with a white paint pen.

I added a whole bunch of layers under my photo using off cuts of the other patterned papers in the range as well as Everyday Etc Filler Cards.

I love to add some fitting quotes using the Sticky Quick Quotes and the colours in the Tiny Rainbow quotes are perfect to co-ordinate with this range. I stuck the quotes down on white cardstock first for added strength and to give a nice little white border.

A sweet sprinkling of enamel dots never goes astray! They are the perfect little element to add detail to your page.

My layouts are never complete without the addition of page tabs either!

The wodd veneer title and the 'mine' comes from the Happily Ever After Wood Veneer Bits. These wood veneer sheets are so awesome and economical too!! I have used them on 8 layouts so far and still have some left!!

Here's what I used:

- 12 x 12 Sporadic Romantic
- 12 x 12 Drunk on Love
- 12 x 12 Blanket Thief
- Wood Veneer Bits

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today to check out my layout.
