Flutterby Designs DT - Summer Vibes

Hello Flutterby fans!

Today I have a layout to share for Flutterby Designs featuring the awesome Good Vibes Only collection. I absolutely love the sweet watermelon elements in this range so I have based my layout around this.

'Summer Vibes' Layout

I just happened to have a photo of my darling daughter when she was much younger pretending to eat a chunk of watermelon like a rabbit. You can't see in the photo but she was wearing fluffy pink bunny ears at the time.
I chose the Neapolitan Notes paper from the 12 x 12 Paper Pack for its gorgeous pink colour for my background paper and swiped some Raspberry Punch Flutter Colour Paint over it using a silicone brush. I added some stamping too using a Darkroom Door stamp that was just perfect for this layout.

Once dry, I added some sweet subtle stencilling using the Little Big Love Stencil and some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide.

To give my layout a more summery feel I swiped some texture paste over the Aloha Stencil to add some stunning frangipanni flowers. Once dry, I coloured over the top of the flowers using a white paint pen to make them more of a crisp white.

I fussy cut the word Hello from the Hello Summer Photo Card. I love adding fussy cut elements to my layouts as I find fussy cutting quite relaxing. I especially love fussy cutting the photo cards as the knife just glides through the photo paper making it so much easier.
How cute is that little watermelon wood veneer?!! So cute! I added some cute little wood veneer hearts too as well as the the word 'vibes' that I punched out of the Good Vibes Only wood veneer piece.

I finished with some watercolour sticky quotes, a page tab and a sprinkling of the Christmas Enamel Dots. These are my favourite enamel dots as they have a lovely matt finish.

Here's what I used:

The Dusty Attic DT - March Projects

Hello Dusty Attic fans!

Today I have two layouts to share for The Dusty Attic using fabulous Dusty Attic products. Two BOY layouts!! Boy layouts can sometimes be hard to create but The Dusty Attic makes it super easy with so many designs perfect for masculine layouts.

'Beach Time'

This layout is chockers full of beautiful beach inspired chipboard pieces. I just love all of those sea grass and coral pieces! I have added my chipboard in layers on this layout starting with the raw, unaltered seaweed from the Seaweed # 4 set.

I created my watercolour look background using my favourite ever Dusty In Colour paint; CAPRI! Such a stunning colour. I have diluted it here and added to my background with a soft wet paintbrush. I flicked some droplets over the background too.
I used the Glass Stains Stencil with some white gesso to create the look of bubbles on my layout. This is such a cool stencil!
To keep things co-ordinated I used the leftover Capri paint to colour the Seaweed # 2 pieces as well as the Geo Tag and Word Arrow.

I used a UNI Posca Pen in white to alter the Mini Caption, Page Pebbles and Mini Tag.

Here's what I used:

'The Good Life'

For this layout I co-ordinated my chipboard with the photo of my son feeding our deer on our farm. That chipboard Deer Head could not be more perfect for the photo and for the patterned paper I had in my stash. I covered the deer head in patterned paper to resemble the deer head image on the background paper. I sanded the edges of the deer head and antlers once it was covered to rough it up a bit and create a rustic look. It works well with the 'rustic' place I call home.

Here's a closer look.

I used the gorgeous Sunshine Dusty In Colour paint on my background. I used a Prima silicone brush to swipe it over the background. Once the paint was dry I used a latex make-up wedge to apply Storm Cloud Dusty In Colour over the Chicken Wire Stencil.

I chopped up the Chevron Panel into strips and painted the pieces with the same paints. I applied a couple of coats of white gesso to the Mini Tabs. Once dry I painted carefully over the top with the Dusty In Colour paints making sure that the words still appeared white.

I decorated the Deer Head with a small Geo Tag, Hashtag and the title that I had painted white using a Uni Posca Pen.

Here's what I used:

I hope you are feeling inspired to create some boy layouts with your own Dusty Attic stash. Make sure you share them in the Dusty FANattics Facebook Group HERE so we can leave some love.

The Scrapbook Store DT - Sweet Memories

Hello!

Today I am back with my second share for The Scrapbook Store featuring the stunning Prima Lavender Collection.

'Sweet Memories'

This collection works well with cute baby photos too! Any excuse to pull out the baby snaps of my darling little Hayley!

I created the background just like the first layout I created using Jane Davenport Inkredible Ink in Violet Syrup just like a watercolour. (I managed to get a little on my photo too! Just ignore the messy smear on the photo. You can learn from my mistake by keeping your own photo well away from the work area when sloshing ink about!!)

I love the pretty ephemera in this range too. That typewriter is so sweet.

Lots of layers of gorgeous papers under my photo.

Here's what I used:

PRIMA Lavender:
- 3" x 4" Journalling Notecards
- Butterflies
- Communication Through Love
- Ephemera
- Flowers
- I'll Fly With You
- My Last Note
- Say It In Crystals
- Stickers Icons & Journal Accents
- Stickers Words & Quotes
DUSTY ATTIC Chipboard Mini Captions # 10
JANE DAVENPORT Inkredible Ink Violet Syrup
TIM HOLTZ Distress Ink Seedless Preserves

The Scrapbook Store DT - Freeze Frame

Hello!

This month at The Scrapbook Store I am playing with the stunning Prima Lavender Collection.

I have to admit that purple is not my favourite colour to work with but this collection is so super pretty that it was easy. What is not to love about gorgeous florals, butterflies and rose gold elements?

I also had fun experimenting and trialling the new Jane Davenport Violet Syrup Inkredible Ink. The verdict: I LOVED it. I could cretae a lovely watercolour effect on my background with it and the fact that these inks are scented just makes them even more lovely to play with. Check out the whole range over HERE.

'Freeze Frame'

That beautiful Violet Syrup ink matches the papers perfectly! I have created lots of layers under and on top of my photo using the pretty papers and ephemera in the range as well as a butterfly created using a new Darkroom Door stencil and one of my most favourite chipboard pieces from The Dusty Attic.

I coloured that Prima flower using the Violet Syrup Ink too. If it's going to look like a flower it might as well smell like a flower right?

Here's what I used:

- 3" x 4" Journalling Cards
- Ephemera
DARKROOM DOOR Small Stencil Butterflies
THE CRAFTERS WORKSHOP 6" x 6" Stencil Chicken Wire

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Oh and if you would like to find out how I created this layout there will be a step by step tutorial coming soon to The Scrapbook Store blog.

Kraft Plus DT - Beautiful

Hello Krafters!!

Have you seen the fabulous March Challenge at Kraft Plus Challenges yet?

Kraft + a sketch + fussy cutting.

I don't know about you but I LOVE it when there is a sketch involved. Takes all the hard work of coming up with a design out of the equation.

You can find all of the details and some inspiration over on the BLOG.

Here's what I came up with.

'Beautiful'

Now I had a bit of a brain fade when I created my layout. I got so carried away with the design aspect, I totally forgot the fussy cutting!! So I quickly stamped some leaves from the Darkroom Door Fine Leaves Stamp Set, fussy cut them and snuck them in with the other embellishments.

I hope you can fit this awesome challenge in this month. I look forward to seeing your own beautiful project.

Thanks for stopping by.

The Dusty Attic DT - March Mood Board

Hello Dusty Attic fans!

Today I have a layout to share for The Dusty Attic that I created for the stunning March Mood Board. I so love the pretty inspiration this month. The lovely pastel colours really sing to me so it was super easy to create a lovely girly layout.

'# gorgeous' Layout

Lucky for me I had some patterned paper in my stash that matched the colours perfectly! I chose a super cute photo of my darling daughter when she was younger and I layered my chipboard underneath to create a lovely frame around the photo.

I diluted some Dusty In Colour paints to create a watercolour effect on my background paper. Once dry I added some stencilling using the Creative Script Stencil and some white gesso.

I painted my chipboard pieces with the same Dusty In Colour paint for a lovely pastel effect.

I painted the title with a few coats of white gesso for a lovely crisp white finish to really pop from all of the surrounding pastels.

I love these pretty stamens.

Here's what I used:

DA1494 Creative Script Stencil
DA1597 Hashtag Sayings # 2
DA1185 String Frames Sml
DA1876 Stamens
DA0902 Dusty In Colour Alabaster
DA0904 Dusty In Colour Cashmere
DA0907 Dusty In Colour Dusty Pink

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. I hope you are feeling inspired to play along with the mood board this month.
