Darkroom Door DT - Curly Cupcakes

 Hello Darkroom Door fans!!

Today I have a super cute trio of cards to share with you created for Darkroom Door and featuring the gorgeous NEW Curly Cupcakes Rubber Stamp Set designed by the super talented Godelieve Tijskens.

How stinking cute is this stamp set?!!! I love all of the little mix and match pieces that this set includes so you can create so many different versions of cupcakes.

For my set of cards, I created backgrounds using Distress Oxides in different colour stories. I pressed the Oxides onto my craft sheet, spritzed with water and swiped the background cardstock through the colour. I dried the cardstock and repeated until I was happy with the effect.

I also used an extra piece of cardstock to repeat this same process. I stamped the cupcake onto the extra cardstock using Jet Black Archival Ink and then fussy cut it with a very fine border. Next I stamped the cupcake again onto some cheaper, thinner paper. This time I just fussy cut the patty pan without a border and stuck it onto the coloured cupcake.

Next I stamped all of the cupcake accessories. I stamped the sparklers and the 'enjoy' sentiment with embossing ink and heat set with gold embossing powder.

The rest of the cupcake toppers and sentiments I stamped with the Jet Black ink on smooth white cardstock. I fussy cut each piece and added them to the tops of the cupcakes adding toothpicks to the back of some.

I added the cupcakes to the backgrounds using 3D foam to make them pop.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I hope you love this cute stamp set too. It is so perfect for sweet birthday cards, project life, recipe cards and more.

Darkroom Door DT - Twisted Tree

 Hello!

Today I am sharing some projects I created for Darkroom Door featuring the awesome BRAND NEW Twisted Tree Rubber Stamp Set.

Here's a peek at the stamp set. How cool is that?!! I love that stunning tree and all of the little birds and bats. I love how the birds work perfectly with the tree to sit in the branches.

For my first project I created a couple of pages in the new 6x6 kraft journal from Dina Wakley Media.

'Dark & Twisted' Art Journal Pages

I used a Dina Wakley acrylic paint in the background. I spread it lightly over the pages using a latex make-up wedge. Next I spritzed a DWM Gloss Spray over the Mesh Small Stencil to make the background darker and more spooky. I also spritzed the stencil directly with the same spray and then stamped it onto the pages.

I applied the Twisted Tree stamp to the pages first with Cobalt Archival Ink for a more distant looking tree and then with Jet Black Archival Ink for the foreground trees. I repeated this using the Bare Tree Eclectic Stamp too.

I added the Abstract 04 Abstract Stamp with the Jet Black ink at the bottom to create the ground for the trees to be standing on and then added some little weeds from the Home Sweet Home Rubber Stamp Set.

I added the Splatter Stamp around the edges of the pages using the same two Archival Inks. Then I added some birds in the trees as well as bats flying all around the tops of the trees. I added a little washi tape moon in the 'sky' and added some water soluble black pencil around the edges. I blended the pensil with a water brush to tie it in to the page. Finally I added stamped sentiments from the Twisted Tree Stamp Set.

'Wicked' Card

For this card, I wanted to create a ghostly looking tree. I stamped the tree from the set onto smooth white cardstock using Distress Embossing Ink and heat set with fine white embossing powder. I did the same for the bats. Once the embossed areas had cooled down, I then coloured the background.

I pressed some Distress Inks onto my heat resistant craft sheet, spritzed with water and then swiped the card through the ink. I dried the card front with a heat gun and then pressed it back into the ink on the craft sheet. I repeated until I was happy with the effect. I used a soft wet paintbrush to pick up some of the inks from the craft sheet and flick them over the surface too. Once the card was dry again, I used a wet wipe to clean the embossed areas. I added some stamped weeds around the bottom of the tree and added the Splatter Texture Stamp around the edges. I used a black water soluble pencil again to add a dark border around the edge of the card front and used the paintbrush to activate and blend the pencil. Finally I added the sentiment and a washi tape moon in the sky.

Here's another card I created incorporating one of the postcards from the Enchanted Doors Postcards set.

Bee Arty DT - Happy

 Hello Bee Arty fans!

It's Belinda with you today to share my latest layout for Bee Arty inspired by the spectacular September Mood Board Challenge.

Here's a reminder of the mood board for this month:

The colours are so perfect for the new fluro range!

To start my layout I chose a patterned paper from the funky new Electric Dreams Mini Collection as my base. I then spritzed water on the page in the focal area before sprinkling on some Duke Shimmer Dust. I used a soft paint brush to manipulate the colour on the layout and also flick some of the colour over the page.

Once the layout was dry, I added some stencilling using the Ecliptic A6 Stencil with the Fluro Pink Colour Paste. Next, I added a scoop of the Fluro Pink Colour Mica Powder to a paint palette and mixed with a little water. I used a soft paintbrush to pick up the colour and flick it over the page. The pink really contrasted with the blue to give a vibrant effect.

I added some stamping using a stamp from the Embrace Change Say It Stamp Set and Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink.

I die cut some shapes from the 350gsm white cardstock using the String Wreath and Abstract Circles Metal Dies and coloured them with the Fluro Pink Mica Powder mixed with water as well as the Duke Shimmer Dust mixed with water and Lagoon Colour Spray.

I fussy cut some elements from patterned paper from the Electric Dreams Mini Collection. I used the Fluro Pink and water mix to paint the plus signs.

I layered everything on my page and added a couple of Charm's Creations fluro embellishments as well as some coloured wire

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you are feeling inspired to play along with the Mood Board this month too.

Scrapping Clearly DT - Living Our Best Life

 Hello Scrapping Clearly peeps!!

It's Belinda here with you today to share my layout inspired by the September Mood Board and featuring some awesome products from the Scrapping Clearly store.

Here's a peek at the stunning mood board:

'Living Our Best Life'

I began this layout by spritzing some Black Velvet Heidi Swapp Colour Shine onto a sheet of Vicki Boutin Mixed Media Cardstock. I flicked some of the colour over the page too.

Next I added some stencilling using an Art By Marlene stencil with Colour Blast Heavy Black Gesso. I added some stamping too using a stamp from the Inkadinkadoo Branches Rubber Stamp Set and Jet Black Ranger Archival Ink

I created a paper stack using offcuts from various paper ranges including Studio Calico Seven Paper Goldie collection, Teresa Collins Urban Market 6x6 Designer Pad. I cut the title from a sheet of patterned paper from the Heidi Swapp Art Walk 12x12 Paper Pad.

I added a Heidi Swapp wood veneer word that I coloured using a white Posca Pen, a fleur de lis chipboard shape from the Teresa Collins Urban Market range and a cute hand chipboard shape from a Vicki Boutin Storyteller Thickers sheet.

I added some more stamping using the Vicki Boutin Colour Study stamp set, some fussy cut transparency butterflies by Scrap FX and washi tape from the Colour Study collection. There is also a sticker quote from the Studio Light Jenine's Mindful Art Time To Relax Sticker Book.

Scrapping Clearly DT - Just Married

 Hello Scrapping Clearly fans!

It's my turn on the blog today and I am sharing a layout I created for Scrapping Clearly inspired by the August Mood Board.

Here's a peek at the mood board:

To start my layout, I mounted a cropped sheet of Vicki Boutin Mixed Media Art Paper onto some patterned paper from my stash. I spritzed some water onto the page and then dropped in some Colour Blast Colour Artist Ink in Berry. I used a soft paintbrush to spread the ink around a little and then flicked some of the colour over the page with the paintbrush. I dried the page completely with a heat gun before the next step.

I spritzed some Dylusions Ink Spray in Crushed Grape onto my craft sheet, added a little water and then swiped a Vicki Boutin stencil through the colour. I then 'stamped' the stencil onto the page. I repeated this process until I was happy with the amount of 'stamping'.

I added some more stamping, this time using actual stamps from the Heidi Swapp Always Mini Stamp Set with Tim Holtz Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.

I layered my patterned papers and Heidi Swapp 6x6 Die-cut papers together to create a stack under my photo and added that to the page.

I added a bunch of embellishments and my title  as well as a little more stamping to finish.

Products used:

VICKI BOUTIN Mixed Media Art Paper
VICKI BOUTIN stencil
COCOA VANILLA STUDIO Midnight Die-cuts
COLOUR BLAST Colour Artist Ink Berry
TIM HOLTZ Distress Ink Dusty Concord
DUSTY ATTIC Chipboard
UNI Posca Pen Black

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you find some time to play along with the mood board challenge too.

Bee Arty DT - Shine Bright

 Hello Bee Arty fans!!

It's Belinda with you today to share my latest layout for Bee Arty featuring the awesome NEW Electric Dreams Mini Collection.

I just love the vibrant colours in the paper collection as well as all of the funky fluro mixed media products.

For this layout, I first mixed up some Fluro Yellow Mica Powder with distilled water in a mini mister. I used one of the fabulous craft powder spoons to scoop some of the mica powder into the mini mister, added the water and then shook it up until all of the powder was incorporated. Next I spritzed it liberally over my page.

Once the layout was dry, I then added some stencilling using the Grungy Splat A5 Stencil and the Fluro Orange, Pink and Yellow Colour Pastes.

I added some stamping using the Going My Way Clear Stamp Set and Jet Black Archival Ink. I added a photo stack using some of the patterned papers from the collection under my photo.

I fussy cut some of the plus signs from a sheet of patterned paper in the collection and added those to the layout too.

I stamped some stars on the layout using star stamps from the same stamp set and Hero Arts Neon Inks.

I also stamped some of the stars onto extra 350gsm White Cardstock, fussy cut and added to the layout along with a couple of Charm's Creations Fluro embellishments.

Finally I added some quotes cut from the patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I hope you are loving all of the fabulous fluro products as much as I am.

Cheers
