Today I am sharing my second layout for The Scrapbook Store for the month featuring Graphic 45 Fairie Dust.

'Pretty As A Picture'

I started by creating a lovely wash of Wisteria Kaisermist on my white background. Once dry, I swiped some texture paste through the Mini Believe Script Balzer Designs TCW stencil. I used my white Posca Pen to flick a bit of white paint over it too.

Next I layered on some torn Stamperia Rice Paper (I love this stuff!!). To make it easier to tear I used a wet paint brush to 'draw' in the tear line. I have also added some torn book paper as well as squares of patterned paper from the range.

I painted the 2 Crafty chipboard white using the Posca Pen and glued that in place before addingsome fussy cut fairies, my photo, flowers and title.

Flutterby Designs DT - Beautiful

Hello Flutterby Designs peeps!

I am back today to share another layout for the month featuring the completely fabulous Flutterby Designs 'We Run The World' collection.

I love this collection so much and especially that it represents strong women. So of course I had to use a photo of the fierce, kind and beautiful small female child that I am lucky enough to call my daughter.

'Beautiful'

How gorgeous is that background paper?!!! I think it is my absolute favourite of the brand new 12 x 12 papers. The design is so good.

I started by squirting some Tropicana Teal paint over the 'Connie' paper and then swooshed it around with a palette knife until I had enough coverage.

I played around with some of the Filler Photo Cards to create some layers under my photo. 

I added a sweet cluster of embellishments including an awesome flair button, a heart fussy cut from the Connie paper and a Charm's Creations black and white heavenly heart.

I used the acrylic word 'beautiful' as a mask to create my title. I held the word in place carefully with my fingers on a piece of white cardstock while I used a latex make-up wedge to blot the Tropicana Teal paint around it. Check out this progress shot.

I have to admit that when I took the mask away there was a little paint bleeding so I used a white Posca paint pen to tidy up and colour the whole word. I then placed the acrylic word back over the top and used a fine black pen to create a black outline. Finally I fussy cut the whole thing with just a small teal border.

Of course I had to add a bunch of page tabs and snippet strips too.

The Dusty Attic DT - Love Forever Always

Hello Dusty Attic fans!

Today I have a couple of layouts to share featuring the most stunning Dusty Attic chipboard designs. 

There's a bit of a love theme running through my post today with two very mushy layouts. Not like me at all!

'Forever Always' Layout

Believe it or not, that background paper is actually from a Christmas range but I just loved it for this layout. The floral design really matches our wedding which was held in a beautiful garden in a national park. And this led me to use some gorgeous botanical chipboard pieces as well as some lovely Dusty in Bloom Flowers.

I just adore the String Frames so I have added one on top of my paper layers and kept it in its natural raw state to keep with the 'natural' setting of our wedding. I also kept the Feather Charm raw too.

The Foliage # 8 chipboard has been painted white using a paint pen and then I have added some soft Peeled Paint Distress Ink very delicately with an ink blending tool. You need to be super gentle with this technique so as not to lose any of those sweet leaves.

I created a couple of pretty clusters with the chippie leaves and Dusty In Bloom flowers.

The title and page pebble were just coloured with the white paint pen again to contrast with the dark background.

Now I had planned to heat emboss those sweet little hearts with my favourite Princess Gold embossing powder but couldn't find it. I am not willing to share a photo of the state of my desk right now but if you saw it you would completely understand how easy it was for that embossing powder to hide from me! I scanned my desk area and found a roll of gold stickers that I had been hoarding for a while. They just happened to be the perfect colour so I stuck the chipboard onto the sticky side of the sticker and then cut the excess away. I used an emery board just to sand the sharp edges away. It left me wondering why I hadn't thought to use stickers before!!

'Love' Layout

Another wedding photo on this layout which is a bit of a different design for me. The idea was to use the large sheet of paper with the 'All You Need is Love' quote on it and fit my photo and embellishments on the side. I'm not going to lie. It was tricky. It was fun to do something a bit out of the ordinary for me though. 

I have stuck to a black, white and gold theme for this layout and coloured my chipboard accordingly. The foliage was coloured with a white paint pen, the title, mini hearts and iron garnish painted with a black paint pen and the flower stamens were sprayed with Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold.

This month at The Scrapbook Store I am playing with the super cute Graphic 45 Fairie Dust collection. Lots of fairies and flowers.

'Fairy'

I have started by adding some 

lindy's Stamp Gang Cosmopolitan Pink Starburst Spray to my background paper. Once dry, I added some stenciling using Golden Light Molding Paste. 

I fussy cut a cute photo of my daughter when she was little and added some chipboard wings that I backed with patterned paper and coloured white using a Posca Pen.

I arranged some flowers and a fussy cut fairy around the photo and the quote strip cut from the patterned paper. I chopped the word 'fairy' from a chipboard title, coloured it white with a Posca Pen and glued on a cute little metal fairy charm.

Dusty Attic DT - # beautiful

Hello Dusty Attic fans!

Today I am super excited to share with you my very first Mood Board Challenge as a Dusty Attic Design Team member.

First of all, have a look at this stunning mood board!

I do love a challenge that is dripping with gold!

And check out the stem of that stunning cake plate in the top left. It's aqua! My favourite colour. So I have created a layout with a gold, white and aqua colour combination.

Here's what I created.

'# beautiful' Layout

I snapped this photo of my daughter while we were visiting a plant nursery. It's just a phone shot but the light was so golden and lovely which matches the gold theme of the mood board perfectly.

I used some Golden Light Molding Paste with the beautiful Creative Script Stencil to add a little more interest to my background. Once it was dry I used my white Posca Paint Pen to colour it a little more.

I love the Hashtag Sayings set so I have used one for my title and given it a couple of coats with my white Posca Pen.

The rest of the gorgeous chipboard pieces have been altered with a gold Posca Pen.

I even added a little gold to the flower stamens.
