Kaisercraft DT - Sail Away Collection

Ahoy there mateys!!

It's time to get all nautical with the stunning new Sail Away Collection from KAISERCRAFT.

I have to say as much as I love the Provincial Collection that I featured yesterday, this one is my favourite this month. I just love the ocean and anything beach related is an absolute winner with me.

I have focussed mainly on the shades of blue papers as well as the woodgrain to create three layouts to share with you. There are also some stunning red images and papers in the collection as well as awesome collectables.

For my first layout I wanted to create the look of the waves breaking on the beach using the papers.

‘Explore’ Layout

Simply using torn strips of patterned paper layered from dark to light, I have created the look of waves. It is so easy to create this look with all of the papers in different shades of blue.

Here’s a closer look.

I have added some sweet collectables in amongst the waves as well as the stamped and fussy cut compass and some sequins from my stash.

Kaisercraft materials: P1980 Ship | P1981 Compass | P1986 Starfish | PP985 Paper Pad | SS300 Sticker Sheet | CS244 Clear Stamp | CT844 Collectables | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | CD187 Kaisercard Pebble | IP719 Ink Pad Black | IP723 Ink Pad Vintage | IP726 Ink Pad Island | IP727 Ink Pad Lagoon.

Other: sequins.

‘Hello Adventure’ Layout

It’s no secret that I have a ‘flat layout phobia’. Not that there is anything wrong with a flat layout. It’s just that I love layers and dimension and this layout just goes to prove that. It is super layered and dimensional using lots of Kaisercraft Foam Tape between the layers. I have used the fabulous Compass Specialty Paper on this one too.

Check out all of those layers!

Kaisercraft materials: PS435 Compass Specialty Paper | P1980 Ship | P1988 Map | SS300 Sticker Sheet | CT844 Collectables | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | DD730 Card Creations Anchor Cardfront | DD108 Decorative Die Geo Tags | DD704 Decorative Die Hello | DD705 Decorative Die Swirl Flourish | FL303 Wood Flourishes Vines | FL393 Wood Flourishes CloudsIP719 Ink Pad Black | IP726 Ink Pad Island | T303 Foam Tape.

‘Beach Beauty’ Layout

I have a ‘thing’ for wood grain paper so I had to use the stunning Lighthouse paper as the background for this layout. I added some more texture to it by swiping some texture paste over the wave shapes on the Nautical Quarters Template.

used the Anchors Embossing Folder to emboss some vellum to add to the layers below my photo and that cute little anchor was left over from my last layout from when I die-cut the Anchor Cardfront Decorative Die.

Kaisercraft materials: P1983 Nautical | P1984 Lighthouse | P1988 Nautical | SS300 Sticker Sheet | CT844 Collectables | CS244 Clear Stamps | PP985 Paper Pad | EF231 Embossing Folder Anchors | DD730 Card Creations Anchor Cardfront C6 | T627 12×12 Template Nautical Quarters | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | IP719 Ink Pad Black | IP724 Ink Pad Bark | KM101 Kaisermist Charcoal | T303 Foam Tape | DD701 Decorative Die 6×4″ & 3×4″ Rectangles | DD704 Decorative Die Hello.

Other: texture paste | vellum | sequins | Posca Pen.

Well that is all from me today. I hope I have inspired you to create some layers and dimension on your layouts with some stunning Kaisercraft product.

Thanks so much for checking out my Kaisercraft Sail Away creations.

Hello!!

Today I have some projects to share for KAISERCRAFT featuring the stunning Provincial Collection.

The Provincial Collection features some beautifully shabby, rustic style patterns as well as some beautiful soft blues and florals that are just perfect for baby layouts. There are also some wonderful postmark and timepiece images. Something for everyone!

'Hello Baby' Layout

I love this photo of my darling son and I. It was the very first photo of us together on the day he was born and was taken by one of the wonderful midwives in the NICU. So very special.

If you would like to find out how I created that watercolour effect background and how I put my layouts together, make sure you head over to the Kaisercraft blog HERE for a step by step tutorial.

To keep things fair, I thought I had better create a baby Hayley layout also! This time using the whole sheet of that stunning floral paper. How gorgeous is that paper?!!

'Happy Mail' Mail Holder

Hmmm. What to do with all that mail I collect from the general store/post office everyday?? I know! A Kaisercraft Mail Holder decorated with Provincial. I live in a rustic old farmhouse so this matches perfectly! :-)

There! With just a few stickers and collectables from the collection as well as some die-cut words I have something pretty to hide all of those nasty window faced envelopes behind.

Charms Creations DT - *Mo*vember Challenge

Hello!!

Today I am sharing my take on the November Challenge at CHARM'S CREATIONS.

But first, take a look at the seriously cool challenge...

Aren't those moustaches cute? I also love the watercolour circles in the inspiration board so that was the starting point for my layout.

'Seriously Fun' Layout

Lots of watercolour circles on my layout! The large ones I created myself using watercolour paints and the small ones were punched from patterned paper.

I used a DIY 'O' from an 'XO' set and altered it using the same watercolour paints that I used to create the circles. I then topped it with a cute wood veneer moustache.

Isn't that the most perfect photo for the challenge?!! LOL This was a photo shoot from last Christmas. I was playing around with my camera trying to learn how to take a photo using the timer function on my camera. It seemed to work. ;-)

You can find the 'XO' sets in the shop HERE.

I hope you get a chance to play along with this fun challenge.

Here's a peek at some other layouts I have created recently for CHARM'S CREATIONS.

'Best Ever Fun' Layout

I used a Mixed Kit that I purchased at a recent release night featuring project life cards, mini crochet doilies, orange mini heart, arrow and terrific tab as well as a cute pineapple clip. I LOVE these project life kits so much. Charm co-ordinates everything perfectly.

'Here in your Happy Place' Layout

This layout also features elements from a recent project life mixed kit. I especially love that cute camera lush lollipop.

Thanks for checking out my creations today. :-)

Cheers

Kraft + DT - So What!!

Have you seen the awesome challenge at KRAFT + this month??

Check this out...

This month we want you to be inspired by the artist P!nk
*PLEASE NOTE*
The graphic below is NOT the challenge.
The COLOUR pink is NOT the challenge.

The challenge is to be inspired by  P!nk, the artist.

Maybe one of her album covers?
It could be a song title, or lyrics?
Maybe you went to one of her concerts?
It is okay to be inspired by the photo..
BUT there must be something about P!nk on your layout.
Please tell us when you upload your entry what exactly about P!nk inspired you.

Criteria : Kraft + P!nk (the artist)We welcome all kinds of craft as entries for our challenges, from traditional layout, cards, digital layouts, art journalling and tags etc. but please remember that it is all about the Kraft!!

Your work MUST be on a KRAFT BACKGROUND (not merely mounted on Kraft) to be eligible.

**Please take the time to read the RULES before submitting your entry**

Cool!!! I love P!nk so this was an easy challenge for me.

Here's what I created...

My background started like this and I nearly didn't want to add anything else to it.

I chose these particular lyrics as they just seemed to suit the photo of my darling daughter getting her rock moves on at Taronga Zoo on a recent trip.

Not only was I inspired by the lyrics, but I was also inspired by the challenge image to use lots of washi tape, stamping and mists on my background.

I do hope you get a chance to play along with the challenge this month. You can check out all of the inspiration from the design team over HERE on the blog. You will find all of the details on the challenge too.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Kaisercraft DT - Provincial Living

Hello papercrafters!!

Today I have a layout to share with you featuring the brand new Provincial Collection from KAISERCRAFT.

This is such a lovely range which includes some beautiful florals as well as postmarks, clocks and some rustic look papers.

The Design Team was challenged to create a shabby chic layout featuring both the Clear Stamps as well as the Embossing Folder.

Clear Stamps

Embossing Folder

Here's my layout.

I used the Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of self-adhesive cork. I then cut out some of the postmark images to create my own embellishments. I used the clear stamps on my background as well as to make some lovely lacy edges underneath my photo.

Kaisercraft materials: P1971 Hydrangea | P1978 Cobblestone | PP984 Paper Pad | CS243 Clear Stamps | EF229 Embossing Folder Postmarks | CT843 Collectables | EM928 Lace Pack Natural | CD187 Kaisercard Pebble | KM102 Kaisermist Antique Gold | IP723 Ink Pad Vintage | IP724 Ink Pad Bark | EM405 Paper Doilies White | DD700 Decorative Die Alphabet Uppercase.

Charms Creations DT - Hello Beautiful

Hello!!

Today I am sharing a layout I created for CHARM'S CREATIONS using the stunning November Mood Board at Jot Magazine.

How gorgeous is this mood board?? I absolutely LOVE the combination of pink and yellow. So fresh and pretty. Thankyou Kim Jeffress for the awesome inspiration!

Here's my take on the challenge.

I have used a sweet pink Mini Heavenly Heart which you can find in the shop over HERE.

I used Kaisermists in Yellow and Pink on my background. I love how these mists react with water. They really give the loveliest watercolour effect.

Short and sweet today but make sure you pop back soon for some Kaisercraft shares

Thanks so much for stopping.

Cheers
