First Ever Kaisercraft Post

Hello!!

Today I am sharing my very first post as Contributing Design Team Member for Kaisercraft!

I am absolutely thrilled to have joined this amazing team and can’t wait to share my love of Kaisercraft products with you. I could not have asked for better collections to start this journey with. This release has some absolutely stunning products and I am excited to share my projects with you.

First up are my projects for the gorgeous Botanica Collection.

‘Grow Love’ Mini Shadow Frame

For this mini shadow frame, I used papers from the paper pad which fit the shadow frame perfectly, as well as elements I fussy cut from the patterned papers. I even added some actual botanical items I found laying around my farm.

Kaisercraft materials: PP973 Paper Pad | P1876 Roots | P1880 Habitat | CT831 Collectables | SS286 Sticker Sheet | SB2284 Mini 5 Frame Shadow Frame | F633 Paper Blooms – Olive | F650 Mini Paper Blooms – Olive | F660 Mini Paper Blooms – Amethyst | CB108 Alpha Chipboard – Alpha #2 | FL441 Wooden Flourishes Pennants.
Other materials: hemp cord | ink.

‘One Perfect Moment’ Layout

I just love that stunning woodgrain paper in the collection so I just had to create a layout with that as the base. I am a massive fan of the Kaisermists too so added the Antique Gold mist to my background before layering on the photo and embellishments.

I chose the cutest photo of my darling daughter from 2011 sitting in the grass on the farm after picking sour sobs. It just worked so perfectly with the gorgeous die cuts in the Collectables.

Here’s a closer look at the layering of my embellishments.

Kaisercraft materials: P1873 Leaf | P1874 Pollen | PS416 Vine Specialty Paper | CT831 Collectables | SS286 Sticker Sheet | CS223 Clear StampsFL376 Wooden Flourishes Berry Vine | F633 Paper Blooms – Olive | F650 Mini Paper Blooms – Olive | KM102 Kaisermist Antique Gold | IP721 Ink Pad Gum Leaf | IP724 Ink Pad Bark | IP730 Ink Pad Avocado.
Other materials: date stamp.

And lastly I have created a quick card using the delightful lilac tones in the collection.

‘You Are Beautiful’ Card

I loved the embossed print paper in the paper pad and wanted the pattern to be more visible so I lightly rubbed the Orchid Ink Pad over the paper in a circular motion to bring out all of the lovely detail in the area where my embellishments would be. I then stamped lots of leaves from the Clear Stamps in the same Orchid ink, fussy cut and layered onto my card. I then added a quote and flowers in co-ordinating lilacs. The monochromatic colour scheme creates a soothing, calm effect.

Kaisercraft materials: PP973 Paper Pad | CT831 Collectables | CS223 Clear StampsCD511 Card Pack C6 White IP732 Ink Pad Orchid | F660 Mini Paper Blooms – Amethyst | F659 Mini Paper Blooms – Misty.

Next up is the totally adorable Little One Collection.

The images and papers in this collection are just so cute and cater for both little boys and girls. So to be fair of course I had to create a card and layout for both.

‘Precious Bundle’ Boy Layout

The combination of the clouds and hot air balloons is just too cute and perfect for little baby boy projects. I really loved the colour mix of the soft grey with the blues too. They are such calming colours that I just had to use this photo of my son on a rare occasion where he was sleeping on his own! It didn’t happen too often so was definitely cause for celebration and definitely a moment to be recorded in his album.

Kaisercraft materials: P1881 Ollie | P1882 Jack | P1887 Harry | P1889 Cooper | CT832 Collectables | KM106 Kaisermist DenimFL437 Wooden Flourishes Hot Air Balloons | IP726 Ink Pad Island.

‘Welcome Little One’ Baby Boy Card

For this card, I wanted to create the effect of a blue sky on the background cardstock. I used my favourite Turquoise Kaisermist on the cardstock, added some water and blotted with scrunched paper towel to create a watercolour effect. It created the loveliest ‘sky’ in which to float a sweet hot air balloon. I die cut some tags from the patterned papers and layered together with the hot air balloon and fussy cut clouds.

Kaisercraft materials: P1882 Jack | P1886 Noah | CT832 Collectables | CD511 Card Pack C6 White | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | DD105 Decorative Die Love Hearts | DD108 Decorative Die Geo Tags | DD517 Decorative Die Tag Shapes | KM105 Kaisermist Turquoise | IP726 Ink Pad Island | T302 Mounting Foam Dots.

‘Baby Hayley’ Baby Girl Layout

I just adored the oh so happy combination of pink and orange for this layout. Teamed with sweet little owls, hot air balloons and fluffy clouds it made for the cutest little baby girl layout. I used one of my favourite snapshots of my daughter when she had just learned to poke out her tongue and of course had to keep practising until she got the hang of it.

Kaisercraft materials: P1883 Zoe | P1884 Mia | P1888 Chloe | CT832 Collectables | CD101 Cardstock Coconut | CB109 Alpha Chipboard Alpha #3 | KM110 Kaisermist Pink | EM405 Paper Doilies | IP725 Ink Pad Petal Pink | IP729 Ink Pad Tangello | IP731 Ink Pad Berry.
Other materials: wire thread.

‘Hello Little One’ Baby Girl Card

For this card, I used a pink, orange and grey colour scheme with lots of layering of sweet images from the collection.

Kaisercraft materials: P1883 Zoe | P1884 Mia | P1888 Chloe | CT832 Collectables | PS417 Specialty Paper ABC KM110 Kaisermist Pink | SB786 Pearls Rose | IP725 Ink Pad Petal Pink | IP729 Ink Pad Tangello | IP731 Ink Pad Berry.
Other materials: wire | Posca Pen white.

Lastly the Fly Free Collection.

This is such a stunning collection with gorgeous bright blooms, birds and butterflies. So perfect for girly projects.

‘Be Happy’ Layout

I was immediately drawn to the black lined patterned paper and thought that it would really make those bright colours pop off the page. My daughter just happened to be wearing clothes that coordinated perfectly with the colours in the collection.

Kaisercraft materials: P1891 Friend | P1892 Partner | P1895 Gal Pal | CT833 Collectables | PS419Specialty Paper Bond | CD102Cardstock LicoriceCB109 Alpha Chipboard Alpha #3 | KM110 Kaisermist Pink | IP719 Ink Pad Black | IP731 Ink Pad Berry | IP725 Ink Pad Petal Pink | IP729 Ink Pad Tangello | FL341 Wooden Flourishes Magical Butterflies | AS252 Alpha Sticker Sheet White.

‘Happy Today’ Layout

For my last layout, I could not resist fussy cutting lots of images from the papers and clustering together on a watercolour effect background. I used a black and white photo of my daughter so as not to clash with any of the colours in the collection.

Kaisercraft materials: P1890 QT | P1894 Bestie | P1898 Kindred Spirit | CT833 Collectables | PS419 Specialty Paper Bond | CS225 Clear StampsCD101 Cardstock Coconut | KM107 Kaisermist Peach | IP727 Ink Pad Lagoon | IP729 Ink Pad Tangello.
Other materials: date stamp.

I hope you have been inspired by my projects today and you love the collections as much as I do. Make sure you visit the blog again tomorrow for lots more inspiration.

Thank you for checking out my projects today.

A Jot of Sunshine

Hi!

Today I am sharing a layout that I created for Charm's Creations and in a happy accident it perfectly matches the Jot Magazine July Mood Board too. Winning!!

Here's a peek at the stunning mood board...

Isn't it gorgeous?

Aqua is by far my favourite colour right now. I have even been storing away ideas for incorporating it into my house.

Check out this stunning kitchen Idea shared by Better Homes & Gardens.

I could totally see myself in that kitchen. Hubby even liked it!!

SO here is the layout I created...

I was inspired by the photo of my darling daughter wearing my sunglasses to create something really bright. I love orange and pink together so I first created a background using Orange Kaisermist. That made me think about bright sunshine so I used a sunrays template and some Wild Honey Distress Ink to add some sunrays to the background.

Then it was a matter of layering on my embellishments and photo. I have used a few little pieces from my latest A Piece of Cake Designs kit, sequins and wood veneer pieces.

I just LOVE these mini hearts from Charms Creations. The orange is so happy and vibrant.

And check out the MINI clouds!! They are so sweet.

Make sure you head on over to the Charms Creations store over HERE and order yourself some of these lovelies.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!! Perfect scrapping weather is heading our way so I will be staying inside and keeping warm.

Cheers

I just LOVE that woodgrain paper from the Botanica collection as well as the fabulous book edge specialty paper.

There are so many sweet die cuts in the Collectables pack too.

I love this photo of my boy William when he was about 3. He was trying to pick 'flowers' (sower sobs) for me but our puppy Merlin kept eating them from his hand. He was getting so stroppy with the pup and telling him to stop. So funny.
