Hello Darkroom Door fans!!
Today I am sharing my projects created with the fabulous BRAND NEW Sketchy Stars Eclectic Stamp as well as lots of other awesome Darkroom Door products.
I have created an art journal page as well as a couple of cute cards using this new stamp.
'LOOK FOR STARS' ART JOURNAL PAGE
For this art journal spread, I began by applying the stamp across the top of the pages using Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Ink. I then heat set using the Ranger Super Fine Detail White Embossing Powder.
I then used some watercolour paint to create the blue of the sky, letting it run down the pages to create drips.
I stamped my favourite Darkroom Door Quote Stamp on the left hand page using Ranger Archival Ink in Jet Black. I also stamped the 'Stars' from the quote using a neon pink ink. To co-ordinate with the the right hand page, I then used a neon pink paint to paint over the word for extra vibrancy.
On the right hand page I painted a Mindy Lacefield inspired girl using Dylusions paints as well as white gesso.
I finished by stamping some extra stars from the Stars Rubber Stamp Set using Faded Jeans Distress Archival Ink. Here's a close-up of the Sketchy Stars.

'SKETCHY STARS' CARDS
For these cards, I started with a background created with Distress Oxides. I pressed the Blueprint Sketch and Peacock Feathers Oxides onto a heat resistant craft sheet and spritzed with water before swiping the pre-cut cardstock through it. I dried with a heat gun and then repeated until I was happy with the coverage. I flicked some water over the card with my fingers too to get a water stained look. I then left the backgrounds for a couple of days to make sure they were absolutely dry for the next step.
I heat embossed the stars on the background as per the art journal page and then added all of the remaining elements.
