Flutterby Designs DT - Stay Weird & Happy

Hello Flutterby lovelies!!

Today I have two layouts to share for FLUTTERBY DESIGNS featuring the totally fabulous Flawsome collection.

'Stay Weird' Layout

How cute is that 'Big Little Love'Stencil?? Cute right? I swiped some Golden Light Molding Paste over it to create a sweet textured background. Once the paste was dry, I spritzed the surface with water and then added diluted Flutter Colour Paint in my favourite colour...Tropicana Teal! I love to dilute it to a watercolour consistency and add with a soft, wet paintbrush to my layout to create a lovely wash of colour. I then spritzed with a bit more water and then set aside to dry.

I used one of my favourite photos of my kids and I messing about taking selfies for a christmas photo shoot session. I created lots of layers under my photo using co-ordinating filler photo cards.

Finally I added some page tabs, a flair button and some kick ass wood veneer pieces.

Next up is a layout about me. Eek!!

'Happy' Layout

For this layout I created the background in the same way as the first layout. This time I used the 'Flawsome' Stencil which I LOVE!! I did actually find it a bit hard and weird to use those words to describe myself though.

I have used a lovely soft palette for this layout of aqua, grey, white and black. It's a favourite colour combination of mine. When I created my colour wash for the background I added a little Arctic White Flutter Colour Paint to the Tropicana Teal to create a slightly softer colour.

I outlined the two words that I thought best described me just like the word 'incredible' on the filler photo card. I can't stop using those gorgeous wood veneer pieces from the range so I scattered those from top to bottom of my layout.

Have you had a chance to create with this stunning range yet? If you have, please make sure you share your beautiful creation in our Flutterby Inspiration Group on Facebook. I would love to see what you have done with your stash.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers
Belinda

The Scrapbook Store DT - Kaisercraft Golden Grove 1

Hello!!

This month at The Scrapbook Store I am thrilled to be playing with the Kaisercraft Golden Grove Collection. Such a beautiful range full of sunshine yellow and lovely florals.

'Precious Little Darling' Layout

Oh and I am trialing a new A4 size layout format primarily to conserve space in my tiny house. So much easier to store my layouts in ring binders rather than giant plastic tubs.

I used my favourite Tim Holtz Layering Stencil mon the background with some Golden Light Molding Paste. I added some colour with Kaisermists too.

I fussy cut some flowers from the patterned papers and added a cluster of prettiness.

Here's what I used:

- Harvest
- Sticker Sheet
- It's A Girl
- Word Pack
AMERICAN CRAFTS Thickers
GOLDEN Light Molding Paste
UNI Posca Pen White
- Pink
- Yellow
- Magnolias
- Roses Small
- Cherry Blossoms White
- 3cm Mini Roses Yellow

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Make sure you pop back tomorrow for another layout share.

Cheers

Flutterby Designs DT - Flawsome 1

Hi Flutterby peeps!!

Belinda here today with the first of my July posts featuring the totally awesome 'Flawsome' collection.

There is so much to love about this collection; from the stunning colours to the brilliant quotes and sentence enhancers. The perfect range to scrap those selfie photos.

'Love This' Layout

I recently decided to trial creating layouts in an A4 format as opposed to my regular 12" x 12". It is mainly for ease of storage. So much easier (and cheaper) to store them in ring binders instead of the giant plastic tubs I have stacked up in my already cramped old home. Let me know what you think of this size and if you have tried scrapping in this format. I think I like it.

I began this layout by swiping some Golden Light Molding Paste over the stunning Little Big Love stencil. How cute are those little love hearts? I then diluted some of the Flutter Colour Paints to a watercolour consistency, spritzed my background with water and then applied the runny paints with a large soft, wet paintbrush. Spritzed again. Mopped up a little of the excess liquid with scrunched up paper towel and then dried with a heat gun. This is pretty much my 'go to' technique tfor starting each of my layouts. When you are onto a good thing and all that. ;-)

I decided to scrap a strip of fun photo booth photos of myself and the uber talent that is Louise Nelson taken at the Seriously Scrapbooking All Day Scrap last year. I chopped up the filler photo cards with the strips of pattern and scattered them over my background to frame my photo strip.

I then layered on some of the fabulous co-ordinating embellies, wood veneer, bits & bobs and a flair from the collection.

Here's what I used:

- Flair Button
- Grape Soda
- Raspberry Punch
- Sunshine Yellow
- Tropicana Teal

Thanks so much for checking out my layout today. Make sure you share your own Flawsome creations in the Flutterby Inspiration HQ group. I would love to see them.

Cheers

Imaginarium Designs DT - July Projects

Hello!!

Today I have some of the projects I have created for July which just happen to feature some awesome Imaginarium Designs chipboard.

First up is my layout for the July challenge at Kraft Plus Challenges.

'Believe in The Look' Layout

Recognize that title? No? Well that's because I chopped up two separate phrases to make my own. I couldn't quite find the right title for this layout so I created my own by chopping and mashing bits of other titles together.

I started with these two titles.

I chopped them up to create a whole new title.

And then I coloured the title with a white Posca Pen. The Posca paint pen is such a quick and easy way to alter chipboard for those days when you can't be bothered getting the gesso and paintbrush out.

Isn't that gorgeous Merrilee Flourish just divine? I grabbed my black Posca Pen to alter this piece and then I cut it into two seperate pieces to add to my layout

Here's what I used:

IDFL0030 Merrilee Flourish

IDP0219 I Believe In Santa

The Look of Love

Next up is a cute set of shaker cards that I will be teaching at Seriously Scrapbooking this month. All of the chipboard pieces have been given three coats of white gesso.

'Hello Baby Love' Card

'Explore' Card

'Delightful' Card

Here's what I used:

IDW0036 Love Cherish Adore

IDW0019 Compass with Travel Words

IDW0072 Beautiful Delightful Wonderful

IDW0100 Explore Adventure Discover

IDD0043 Nat's Hearts 2

IDD0046 Loolabelle's Callouts

And lastly, I have a pocket letter to share. This is another project I will be teaching at Seriously Scrapbooking this month.

'Hello Sunshine' Pocket Letter

Again I have painted all of the chipboard pieces with three coats of white gesso.

Here's what I used:

IDD0019 Chris's Small Arrows and Shapes

IDFL0018 Sheet of 7 Leaves

IDFL0031 Rufus Embellishment

IDW0078 Trouble Beautiful Sweet

Well that is all from me this month. I hope you are feeling inspired to grab your Imaginarium Designs chipboard out and have a play too.

Cheers
