Thought I had better pop back in before the end of the month and share my April creations for KAISERCRAFT featuring the stunning Cottage Rose Collection!

 

 

 

This collection is so shabby chic gorgeous with lots of lovely flowers just wanting to be fussy cut. I just had to create a girly layout featuring a photo of my darling daughter putting on her best pout face.

‘May Journal Planner’

 

April seems to be fast disappearing so I thought it was about time I updated my journal planner and make it all pretty ready for May.

 

 

I had fun making the pages interactive by creating little doors that open.

 

 

There are so many sweet little collectables and stickers to make your planner oh so gorgeously girly.

 

 

I love to fussy cut images from the Kaisercraft Colouring Books to add to my journal pages. Then I get to colour them in when I get to that page in the month. Here I have already added a little colour to the images from the Hello Hipster Colouring Book using the fabulous Kaisercraft Gel Pens.

 

 

I couldn’t help but add a few more cute little interactive doors.

Kaisercraft DT - Sea Breeze Collection

Hi!!

 

Just popping in to share lots of projects for KAISERCRAFT featuring the stunning and inspiring April release Sea Breeze. There’s so much to love in this collection. I just love the beautiful blue beach inspired papers in this range.

 

 

 

 

I absolutely love the beach so this was the perfect collection for me. It is so easy to be inspired by this range as you will see by the amount of layouts I have created. :-)

I have used the wonderful Ripple Gloss Specialty Paper and altered it with Kaisermists in Turquoise, Charcoal and white. I have added lots of layers of lovely patterned paper and fussy cut some flowers from the papers too.

‘Treasured Frame’

 

 

For this project, I wanted to create a lovely beach themed shadow box. I started with the fabulous Hexagon Frame and covered it with the Sea patterned paper. I wanted to be able to sit the sweet little Corked Bottles in the frame so I cut extra hexagons from thick chipboard (about 6 all up) to make the frame deeper.

 

I had fun filling those little bottles up with sand, beads and tiny stones to co-ordinate with the collection.

Kaisercraft DT - Story Book Collection

This is such a gorgeously vintage range with a masculine feel. The perfect range for a bookworm like me. I just love the woodgrain paper!

I distressed and tore the edges of some of the papers on this layout which works really well with these designs. I used the brand new Nesting Stitched Squares Decorative Die to create a matte for my photo.

‘Happy Today’ Layout

 

 

For this layout I wanted to feature that fabulous black leather look patterned paper. It worked so well with the dark background of my photo. I also had a lot of strips of patterned paper from the paper pad on my desk leftover from other projects. I hate to waste anything so I layered lots of these strips underneath my photo to create a frame. I even added the leftover negative images from tabs that I had die cut. Waste not, want not. ;-)

Kraft + DT - Black & White

Hooray for the weekend!!

 

It's going to be a full on weekend for me with a trip to Carrick Hill planned as well as attending an all day photography course at the zoo!! I am hoping to pick up lots of tips and tricks to improve my photography skills.

 

Not only that but yesterday my hubby and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. Yay for us!! :-)

 

Anyway, let's get to what we are really here for. The brand new AWESOME April challenge at KRAFT PLUS CHALLENGES.

 

 

Just look at that gorgeous inspiration!

 

Here's what I created.

 

'Capture Love' Layout

 

 

I used the most fabulous '+' sign stencil from FLUTTERBY DESIGNS on my background, lots of amazing chipboard from IMAGINARIUM DESIGNS and a triangle embellishment from CHARM'S CREATIONS.

 

 

 

How cute is that fussy cut stamped dog image?? That is a stamp created by the amazing Louise Nelson entitled 'Finneak' and inspired by my little dog Finn. Thanks so much for letting me use the image Louise!
