Kaisercraft DT - A Little Holly Jolly

Hello!!

Today I am sharing with you a fun mini album I created for KAISERCRAFT using the Holly Jolly Collection.

I love the playfulness of the Holly Jolly range as well as the gorgeous Christmas colours with a little kraft added in for good measure. Because it was such a fun range I decided to document our Elf on The Shelf shenanigans in a mini pocket page album.

How cute is that green woodgrain paper?? That would have to be my very favourite paper from the collection. I may have a thing for woodgrain. :-)

On this page I created a little card for the top left pocket by embossing a piece of kraft cardstock with the Framed Tree Embossing Folder. To accentuate the design, I lightly rubbed the Lagoon Ink Pad over the top to give it some soft colour.

Here’s a closer look.

I had an idea to make a shaker pocket for this page. I added a whole lot of sequins from my stash as well as a snowflake die cut from the Collectables pack. I also used the snowflake stamp from the Holly Jolly Clear Stamps to stamp on vellum using embossink ink. I heat set with white embossing powder, fussy cut and added to my pocket. (Note: I used a Fuse Tool to seal my pocket so that everything wouldn’t shake on out of there.)

Here’s a closer look.

As you can see, I have only completed the first week of our elves antics. I have many more pages of our cheeky little elves to fill!!

Kraft + DT - Inspired By Nature

Hello!!

Today I am sharing my layout for the current challenge at KRAFT PLUS.

So this month we are getting back to NATURE
The challenge is to use feathers (they do not have to be real)
and something that nature has provided (these DO have to be real. Think shells, sticks, pebbles, leaves etc etc )

Here is my take on this awesome challenge.

"Nature" Layout

I have included some feather stencils as well as real feathers, natural jute as well as a stick from my farm wrapped in wire thread.

I was inspired by the gorgeous colours in the inspiration so have used lots of luscious green and blue.

All chipboard is from IMAGINARIUM DESIGNS and the stunning green heart is by CHARM'S CREATIONS.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Cheers

Kaisercraft DT - Ma Cherie

Testing...testing...I think this thing is working.

This month KAISERCRAFT released the stunning MA CHERIE Collection.

Such a pretty collection with some soft pinks and greys as well as an oriental twist of red and gold.

I focused on the lovely soft pinks and greys in the collection for both my pieces. So soft and pretty and perfect for a dreamy little girl layout.

“To The Moon” Layout

I love to create a distressed and layered look with my layouts so I have created a border of distressed edged patterned papers layered one on top of each other. This creates a lovely frame around the layout. I added some Charcoal Kaisermist to my background and then spritzed with a little water before removing the excess colour with a scrunched up paper towel. This gives it a much softer colour than when you first spray it on.

I added some wire detail before layering my framed photo on top. The stunning butterflies were fussy cut from patterned paper.

Kaisercraft materials: P1956 Dainty | P1957 Elegant | P1958 Fancy | P1961 Glamour | CT841 Collectables | PP982 Paper Pad | FL303 Wood Flourishes Vines | CD101 Kaisercard CoconutDD704 Decorative Die Hello | DD701 Decorative Die 6×4″ + 3×4″ Rectangles | KM101 Kaisermist Charcoal | IP719 Ink Pad Black.

Other materials: wire thread | staples | date stamp.

“Love” Layout

Kaisercraft materials: P1956 Dainty | P1958 Fancy | P1955 Beauty | PP982 Paper Pad | CT841 Collectables | CS241 Clear Stamp | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | EM405 Paper Doilies | KM101 Kaisermist Charcoal | IP719 Ink Pad Black | IP722 Ink Pad Red Gum | DD526 Decorative Die Love & Cherish | ST928 Clear Stickers Life.

“Best Wishes” Card

For this card I wanted to create a lovely shabby chic look so I created some distressed layers as in my layout above. I added a strip down the middle framed with white lace. I then stamped a butterfly from the stamp set six times onto patterned paper using black ink. I used the awesome corresponding die to cut out the butterflies (so much easier than fussy cutting!!) ensuring that I added in some Die Release Paper. The Die Release Paper guaranteed ease of release of the paper from the die as well as gave me an extra pretty layer to add to my stacked butterflies. Perfect!

Kaisercraft materials: PP982 Paper Pad | CS241 Clear Stamp | DD544 Decorative Die 3 Butterflies | CD511 Cards & Envelopes Card Pack 6 | EM926 Lace Pack White | T332 Die Release Paper.

Kaisercraft DT - October Challenge

Hello!!

I am popping in today to share the awesome October Challenge at KAISERCRAFT.

It's a SKETCH!!

You can find all the details on how to enter the sketch challenge over HERE on the Kaisercraft blog.

I decided to use the stunning new Ma Cherie Collection to create my layout for the challenge. Such pretty papers in this collection.

And just look at those delightful butterflies. This range is a fussy cutters dream!!

Here's what I created.

I couldn't bring myself to place everything on angle on my layout so I have gone for a straighter version but still stuck to the sketch.

I sprayed this wood veneer word with the Antique Gold Kaisermist and it has come up a treat! Love that colour.

I loved fussy cutting all of the flowers and creating lots of distressed layers. There really are so many pretty butterflies in this range too. So perfect for girly layouts.
