Hello hello!!
Boy am I running late with my blog posts!
Today I am sharing the first of five layouts for The Scrapbook Store in a mad attempt at catching up on my blogging! I have been a very bad blogger. I blame the weather. I hate hot weather and the summer is dragging on and on and on with no rain in sight. The cattle need a lot of extra feeds of hay, brown snakes are around, our stock plants are requiring a lot of watering and we need to get water trucked in for a second time this season. Bugger off already summer and gives us autumn and rain!! Anyway, enough whinging already. LOL
I was thrilled to be playing with the new stunning Simple Stories I Am collection for the month. It is the most beautiful range with gorgeous elements.
Now just before I started working with this collection my heat gun died. So for something different I tried non mixed media backgrounds! Mostly because I am super impatient and I could not bring myself to wait for things to dry. So for this layout I simply used the roller stamp in the range and stamped all over the background in co-ordinating inks. I really liked how quick this was! Might even do it again.
I added a sweet chipboard title by The Dusty Attic that I coloured with a white Sharpie Paint Pen. This is another quick, mess-free way of altering chipboard and my preferred option. Who has time to clean paint brushes. Not me!! And because we have a septic system here I cannot wash my paint brushes inside. So it's a hassle to go outside to wash them making sure I don't drop any because my jack russell would be off like a shot with them!! Little bugger.
Here's what I used:
- Roller Stamp
49 & MARKET Floral Mixology Cosmopolitan
- Broken China
- Wild Honey
- Worn Lipstick
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
Cheers
Belinda
